One night, two weeks prior to Halloween we were invited to an "Oktoberfest" party. Of course, Michael just happened to pull out of his basement a pair of his and hers authentic leather Lederhosen. I am sorry, but who the hell has something like this in their bag of tricks?? Michael of course. It was so funny. He had the whole outfit for himself, the knee high socks, the boots, the white shirt, the hat, even a moustache. Oh...AND he for some crazy reason just happened to have matching Bear skin fur coats to go with the whole outfit. I didn't want to ask because I just don't want to know!!

Apparently these Lederhosen were his parents from the 60's. Too funny. When he told me he wanted me to wear this outfit, I decided to go all out as well and I wore white thigh-high's, braided my hair and wore an off the shoulder top to match. It was so funny to wear this outfit. I never thought I would ever wear anything like this in my life, ever!

Two of our friends dressed up as well. We had, "Bad Santa" with us and "Maul Bunyan". Of course Santa had all the women sitting on his lap telling him what they wanted for Christmas. A given novelty of dressing like Santa at a party just before Christmas! ;-)

It was a fun party and a riot because we were the only couple dressed up for Oktoberfest.

Halloween weekend we went out two nights and dressed up both nights. I dressed up one night in my trusty, "Stripper Cop" outfit that I sported out one night in Colorado for a Pimp and Ho party. And Michael dressed both nights in his Cobra Ki Skeleton Costume like Johnny from The Karate Kid. It was so good....he looked just like him.

We went to a couple of parties. Friday night we went to a small party and ended up at an 80's dance club called Bubba's. Friday night was the night I went out as Stripper Cop. That was a lot of fun, but believe it or not, this was not the big party - even though it was Halloween. The big party was the night after, Saturday night the 1st of November. I know, weird. But it was so much fun. The party was up in a huge function hall in downtown Portland above either a store or an office or something like that. There was a really fun band and hundreds of people. The costumes I saw that night were really great. We had a lot of fun that night. All of Michael's good friends were out and then some.

Saturday night Michael dressed in his skeleton costume again and I went out as pregnant Angelina Jolie toting along all her ethnic babies. It was funny. I made a pregnant belly, wore a wig and had all the appropriate tattoos. I also made sure I found dolls that reflected the two Asian children, one African and one Caucasian. It was too funny.
Happy Halloween! I am so glad I have a partner in crime to do this with. I love celebrating Halloween but I was feeling a bit old to be dressing up. Now that I am with Michael....I don't have to feel so silly. He is always up for dressing up....whether it be for a night of 80's dancing at Bubba's, wearing his Bearskin coat snowboarding, or just a silly shirt to a party. It is hilarious. He is 37 going on 12 I think sometimes. It keeps things fun and funny!
Until next time.........
