Some good and not so good showers..........

Hello again! More stories of more adventure. What a fun summer I am having! This past weekend I went to "Gaysville" Vermont - yes, that's right, Gaysville. I went camping with a bunch of my friends from Sunday River. I haven't seen them as much as I would like this summer so it was nice to see them this weekend. It is weird to go from seeing them every weekend and skiing with them to not seeing them hardly at all. I have seen mostly Mike and Tracy, they took me to a Red Sox game and we went to a Black Crowes concert. We are talking about meeting up in Boston for Sushi one night next week too which will be really nice.

There were quite a few of us on this trip. It was a great time. I met some new folks too. As for my friends from Sunday River, it was Mike & Tracy, Matt & Leslie and their daughter Ellie, Bobby & Stacey and their son Henry and daughter Gracie. Myself, I brought one of my dogs - Buddy because he is a lot more manageable on a trip like this. I left Boo at my Dad's because he would have been a freakazoid on this trip. I think my friends would have killed me. They all LOVED Buddy though and went on and on about how good he was and that they thought he was a great dog. I am glad he went over so well because some people hate dogs and it is tough to make everyone happy when there is a dog around. No one had any complaints. There were even two people there that were allergic and had no problems with him. Phew! I am glad I had some one on one time with him. He is a great dog.

I digress........ there were some new people that I met and really liked - I apologize if I spell this wrong....but there was a couple - Javan and Meg who I shared a campsite with. Meg was really cool, she surfs, snowboards, is a vegetarian and cooks yummy veggie food!! I liked getting to know her. She and her husband Javan live in Southern Mass which is far, but she wants to come to Hampton and go surfing sometime. So, maybe I will be able to hang out with her again. I don't know though because they were talking about moving out to California. I would like to learn how to surf at some point and she said she would teach me. We'll see. That would be cool.

There also were another two couples and three kids, (7 more people!!) that came along, but they didn't hang out with us as much. They came over now and then to hang out by our campfire, but they mostly stayed at their site and hung out with each other. So I didn't really get to know them that well. There were a total of 19 of us!!! It was crazy. That is by far the largest group I have gone camping with. It was a lot of fun!

This post will be mostly pictures and not so much yapity yap. I took so many pictures on this trip, I will let them do the talking........... :-)

I arrived Friday night, I was there in time for the evening campfire which is my favorite part of camping.

The next morning we woke up to a beautiful day! It was so sunny and warm, no bugs that I can remember day or night. Tracy planned this trip and chose this spot because there is a river you can camp on. It was so beautiful, our sites were right on the water. They have tubes you can rent and you can float down the river. It was a lot of fun.

Mike and Tracy

Ellie - She is so frigin cute!

Gracie - also frigin cute!

My campsite..........

Matt and Leslie

There was also a cliff you could jump off into a deep pool of water. I thought this was great....except the water was ICE COLD....I normally would be all about this.....but I was all set with how frigin cold the water was!! :-(

This is Bobby debating....hummmm.....did he jump???

This kid did!!! There were kids doing flips off this cliff....crazy kids!! ;-)

This is where the not so good shower happened! :-( What a bummer. We were having amazing weather then a nasty lighting and thunder storm rolled in. That SUCKED! All of our stuff got soaked and muddy. We huddled under this canopy for a while until a few of us got cold and decided to head into town for some hot chocolate. That was a nice treat.

This is Matt making the best of the storm by mixing up a little rum and Coke.

By the time we returned from town, the rain had cleared and they had a nice fire roaring. It was so relaxing. We pretty much spent the rest of the day gathered around the fire, chatting it up, having some laughs, cooking and making S'mores. I also ate really awesome veggie food that Meg had cooked up. YUM! Thanks Meg!!

The kiddos were diggin the S'mores!!

This is Mike and Henry - Henry is another frigin cute kiddo!!

I have to tell you about these photos...this is hilarious! This is Ellie with a Budweiser can tied to a string. We were cracking up because I was taking pictures and we were joking about how funny it was that this was a "toy" she decided to play with. A 4 year old with a beer can! Matt and Leslie - her parents were joking how these pictures will come back to haunt her some day. I am thinking how funny it is that she will most likely say something like, "Yeah, check this out, my parents were such partiers! Look at what they made me play with when I was little." Now who is this really going to haunt??? LOL!

I hope it is okay to spill the beans....but I found out on this trip that Tracy is Pregnant!!! :-) This is very exciting for Mike and Tracy!! I have three friends now that are expecting. Baby boom!! This will be an interesting winter because they go up to Sunday River every weekend. Tracy isn't due until March. She isn't going to be able to ski....I wonder how all of this is going to play out. I feel bad, I will miss skiing with her! :-(

Tracy drinking water...good girl!

Here it is, night time. You can see that we didn't move at all for hours! I was up so late both Friday and Saturday night. It was so much fun though.

I had to get up super early on Sunday morning, pack up and head out back to New Hampshire. I had a baby shower to go to.....the good shower.

This is Kelly and Kristy........... I can't wait to meet their daughter Adelaide!! Kristy is due really soon. She is ready to pop.

We wanted to pose with Mommy while she still had that adorable belly. I love pregnant bellies, they are so cute!! I always rub her tummy every time I see her. I am glad she doesn't mind. Most women hate that when they are pregnant.

Left to right, Me, Kristy, Jannie and Regina - "Reggie"

This picture is so funny. I had to post it. We were laughing so hard because in the previous picture we were like, "okay, kiss the belly". Then Jannie said, "Well, the closest thing I have to kiss is your boob, so I am going to skip it"...we all started cracking up. It was hilarious. Kelly caught it perfectly.

Kristy is so cute how she reacted to all of the gifts. I had to post some of the pictures of Kelly and Kristy opening gifts because she was so cute.

They had a ton of gifts!! It was a really fun shower and fun to see how excited they are about their new arrival. I am really happy for them!

Well, that is all I have to say about last weekend. It was fun....packed with things to do...as usual. As for this coming weekend, I will be home for a change! That will be nice. I have been gone almost every weekend this entire summer. I am so sick of packing and unpacking!!

I have dirt biking planned with Reggie for Saturday, maybe a beach day or brunch with the family in Boston on Sunday. We'll see....but I do have a couple of dates lined up....yes dates....back at it again. I will have to keep you posted on how all this plays out. I am sure some of you may remember my dating fiascos this past winter. My girlfriends always get a kick out of my dating stories. Most of them are married, so they like to hear about all the details - it either makes them glad they are married or they live vicariously though my stories. Depending on how things go of course.

I have already gone out with these two guys once already. I sometimes have a hard time figuring out if it is a good thing or not on the first date. I will keep you posted.

Until next time!

Namaste'
